Curious fun things

Here are some recent fun and imaginative drawings I've done lately.

This is of my son Michael when he was almost two years old.

Here is an unfinished one of a royal mouse.

Little critters participate in the craziest sports.

This one and the next one are just some character sketches of ogres.

Man in Goggles

Ink on paper, approximately 9" x 12"

I did this little illustration as an exercise I found on James Gurney's (creator of Dinotopia) Blog. The exercise was to create an illustration out of context with the following quote from a science fiction novel. This quote reads:

“I was thankful I had brought goggles when the quick deadly dust storms came boiling up.”

Notice the little beads of sweat on the old mans forehead and face illustrating the "boiling."

The Beard

I grew a beard for my wife just so she could see how it looked. After we finished taking some pictures my son Michael wanted to jump in with me. Here is a fun one I liked.

After we took pictures of me in my beard I decided to shave the next day. Here are a series of pictures we did just for fun.

.........Goin' tough here...........................A little Goofy

.............Who knows?

................Sexy?............................I'm finally clean shaven with -........................................................... Michael's approval.

Stuffed Panda Bear

Watercolor on paper, 9" x 12"

I painted this while I was studying a few years ago. I think he's a little whimsical. I always liked him. He's framed in my two year old son Michael's room.
